Welcome to Anleifr’s Hearth! This blog is an informational blog about Norse deities and religion, and I hope you will find useful information that will spark a desire to learn more about the Norse gods and goddesses.
This blog is a part of my spiritual path, a way of connecting with my faith and broadening my knowledge. If I had to label myself, I would say I am a solitary Heathen polytheist. I pursue my spiritual practice alone, and although I am a member of The Troth, I do not affiliate with any local kindred. I worship several deities in the Norse pantheon: Odin, Loki, Sigyn, Hel, Njord, and Frigga. I also worship the Ancestors. I do not work with any deities outside the Norse pantheon, but only because I have not felt a “pull” to any other pantheons.
I believe that the Norse gods and goddesses may call to you even if you do not possess a drop of Scandinavian blood. They belong to all of us, just as we belong to all of them. I welcome those who worship the Aesir, the Vanir, the Rokkr, and the Thursr so long as they respect my beliefs and practices and those who read or comment on this blog.
I hope you will enjoy the content here. It is a passion project for me. I am not an academic or an expert on Norse religion. I’m just a seeker, and I hope you enjoy sharing a part of my spiritual journey.
I dedicate my labors in putting this blog together to Odin, the Allfather! The Wise One, the Giver of Breath, and the Winner of the Runes. Hail Odin!
